Review : Murder In Paharganj By Kulpreet Yadav

Introduction :
The book is written by Kulpreet Yadav, an accomplished writer and published by Bloomsbury. It's a thriller revolving around the murder of a girl in a budget hotel of Paharganj, New Delhi. How the story moves and rapidly unfolds is quite interesting. To know more, read the book which will keep you on tenterhooks right from the first page.

The Story:
Vicks, a journalist with a news paper is fired by his boss due to his drinking habit. This habit of his leads him to the serious differences with his live-in partner, his girl friend Tonya. Finally he moves out of her flat and now he's in search of breaking news which he could present to his boss to impress him to the extent that he could restore him. And suddenly he gets one! A girl is found murdered in the small hotel situated in Paharganj, New Delhi. The girl is of Israeli origin. Being a foreigner, all security agencies are alerted and the Delhi Police crime branch starts the investigation. Knowing fully well that jumping midway into the investigation will be taken as interference and he may get penalized, he is compelled by his demons to investigate on his own, come what may! Even he doesn't care about his life. In this adventure of his he's overwhelmed to seek the help of his girlfriend Tonya, a clinical psychologist. And on his humble and honest request she agrees. And a big game of chasing the culprit right from Udaipur to Bangkok starts unfolding a sinister plot of bombing a chemical facility in Iran by Israel. The turnout of the investigation is mind blowing!!
My Take:
Certainly a cup of tea for those who read thrillers. I strongly recommend this book.

Rating:
A five by five rating will look a tad odd as no book is perfect but I didn't find anything except Vicks' relationship with his father just out of context. So 4/5 is justified.
I would like to go through all his books. All the best Kulpreet!!
